The Junior League is putting on their annual Christmas Carousel and tonight kicks off the festivities of a fabulous weekend.
Megan Cheek and Angela Tomlin stopped by our studios to gives us all the details of what to expect at this year's events. Tomlin explains, "We are going to start off tonight with our kick off party. Which is party under the palms.It will be a very nice upscale cocktail party. Then tomorrow we will have the style show luncheon. Then we will move into a children's event on Saturday. Santa will be there and we talked to him already and he's getting his sleigh packed to come in. One of most exciting event, Nieman Marcus is coming to Abilene to do a runway fashion event Saturday evening."
Cheek adds, " With that event we have VIP tickets available that are really exciting. The VIP ticket includes valet parking, separate entrance with a special reception for the VIP patrons, and front row seating and really really special swag bag that we've put together that has some special gifts and a coupon for a discount at Dolce Salon."
With all of the great gifts and VIP tickets to these events we wanted to know where the money went. "Christmas Carousel is the only fund raiser for the Junior League of Abilene.The Junior League of Abilene is a volunteer organization of women. Our mission is to promote volunteerism, to train women as leaders, and to impact our community. With that we have six project that impact children in our community.", Cheek says.
