Mitchell County Voters Accept Jail, Reject District Court

Mitchell County voters have approved the bond for a new jail and law enforcement center, but rejected the bond for a new district court facility.

Below is a breakdown of the results:

Prop 1 - Construction of Jail and Law Enforcement Center
  • 407 votes FOR
  • 156 votes AGAINST

Prop 2 - Construction of District Court Facility
  • 228 votes FOR
  • 319 votes AGAINST
