Authorities picked Joanna Huerta, 29, (pictured) and charged her with Sale or Purchase of a Child.
Investigators believe the child was sold in late September. After interviewing Huerta, police found the child at a home in the 700 block of Elm Street. The child was taken into protective custody and released to Child Protective Services.
If convicted, Huerta faces 2-10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. She has a lengthy criminal record that includes more than 10 arrests since 2005. Charges range from drug possession to escape to theft.
The woman that allegedly purchased the child, Marilu Munoz, 27, (pictured below from 2005) was also arrested and charged with Sale or Purchase of a Child.
