Attorney John Young released a statement Tuesday afternoon concerning his indictment.
"My wife and children and I are saddened and disappointed by the indictment", Young said, "we will fight these accusations in a court of law with all the energy we have in us. We hope that folks will withhold judgment and not jump to conclusions until all the facts are known. I will continue to work hard, fighting for the rights of my clients and their families as I have for the past 23 years."
Young is being represented by Daniel W. Hurley of the Hurley & Guinn Law Firm in Lubbock, Texas.
"Of course we are disappointed by the grand jury's decision in this matter," said Hurley in a statement. "But, it is important to remember an indictment is merely an accusation based on one side of the story."
Young remains free on bond. No trial date has been set.
