Harris is averaging 10 yards a carry this season with almost 1,500 yards on the ground with 25 touchdowns. The Badgers trip to the regional semi-finals is their 3rd time in the last 4 years.
In 3 seasons as the starting running back, Harris has 5,373 yards with 64 touchdowns.
Head coach Kieth Mullins said, "Well, Frankie does a great job. You know, we've had some offensive linemen that have really come around this year and opened up some really good holes for him."
Lineman Cody Buczyna added, "As an offensive line, knowing you someone like Frankie behind you, he's going to find the holes. He's going to make something happen. He's going to make some guys miss. It's just really great knowing that we have such a talented back back there. We are just priviledged to be able to block for him week in and week out."
And the Badgers Joseph Reed likes the make up of his teams running back. He said, "He's a different breed. He's just a beast. You hit him and it's going to hurt you."
Merkel has it's hands full this week. They meet Muleshoe at Frenship High School up near Lubbock. Merkel is ranked 8th. Muleshoe is 6th.
