Workers are now taking down all of the big granite facade tiles from the Nolan County Courthouse.

One big tile fell from the courthouse back on Sept. 9.

Engineers determined that the tiles were not put on correctly, and there was a danger of more of them coming undone and falling.

County officials decided to remove all of the heavy tiles, a process that is now underway.

County officials say they hope that they can get the job done for no more than $1.5 million.
