Church Youth Group Ready to Raise Money Selling Fireworks

With the burn ban now lifted in Taylor County, Abilene residents are now able to use fireworks.
The Taylor County Commissioners met this morning with an agenda item focused on discussing regulations for fireworks, which were banned for sale and use back in July.
However, there was no item taken on the action, making fireworks fair game in the county.
The news came as a sigh of relief for the New Hope Church youth group, which does fundraisers each year by selling fireworks during the holidays.
The group usually raises around $2,000 in one week of fundraising.
