Jaguars Gold Club Facing Lawsuit

Updated: December 14, 2011
A group of exotic dancers are suing the Jaguars Gold Club claiming they are violating federal labor laws.

At least three Taylor County women have filed the suit which says the club violated labor standards by classifying the women as independent contractors.

Right now, dancers rely on customer tips for their earnings and pay the club a daily fee that is anywhere from $30 to $70 dollars to dance for tips.

Out of the suit, the women are asking for a minimum wage as well as overtime pay.

The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court in Dallas.

Jaguars Gold Club has at least seven locations in Texas cities.
