Cooking has been a hobby for Rob his whole life.

Rob Fuglie said, "Making pancakes at six and Mom says I put toast in the toaster at three."

But not until his son developed a peanut allergy, did his favorite pastime become more than a passion.

He came up with a sunflower snack called 'Nots'.

"I've eaten sunflower ever since he had a peanut allergy and couldn't eat peanuts but eating sunflower kernels are kind of hard and I wanted them to be more like a nut," said Fuglie.

"I like it, so he's got his first customer," said Harold Stanislawski with Fergus Falls Economic Development.

Harold Stanislawski with the Fergus Falls Economic Development is the soil in Rob's business.

The city gave him a commercial kitchen, with the idea that if his sunflower business blossoms, it would be based in Fergus Falls.

"I think he's got a product that is needed by the public. A non-allergen. A lot of people have peanut allergens and need snacks like this. I think it's a good step forward," said Stanislawski.

In the past few weeks, orders from all over the U.S have been coming in, making his sunflower business grow.

Fuglie said, "The last month has been great. When people you don't know buy the products you've created, there's no better feeling. It's incredible."
