If you're in the mood for a Texas sized uplifting and inspirational Christmas, you might want to check out the newest show hitting the Paramount Theatre this weekend.

The show is a spin-off of the Dickens Christmas Classic, "A Christmas Carol" with a little Texas flare.

"It's placed in the Great Depression era of Texas back in the 30s," says Betty Hukill, Executive Director of the Paramount. "It's kind of a little bit of a Texas flavor of the old story people are very familiar with."

Similar to the classic, Ebenezer "Abraham" Scrooge will be visited by three ghosts who try to convince the grump to lay down his selfish ways and adapt a new attitude filled with Christmas cheer.

"Ultimately, the message is it's never too late to change," Says Hukill. "It's never too late to say the things that need to be said to the people that you love and so no matter what age you are or how many bad things have happened, it's not too late."

To learn more about the show, and purchase tickets, visit The Paramount's Website. Opening night starts Friday, December 16th at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, students, children, and military personnel. For more information you can also call (325) 676-9620.
