Law enforcement officers captured a burglary suspect in Abilene this morning.

A Taylor County Sheriff's Officer and a Department of Public Safety Trooper followed the suspect into the city from south of Abilene on Buffalo Gap Road.

Abilene police joined them when got into the city. The officers stopped him at Sayles and Over Street in south central Abilene.

A homeowner reported that he interrupted a burglary in his home earlier this morning and got the license plate number of the car. Police say they found several valuables in the car when the man was captured.

The man is suspected in at least two burglaries in rural Taylor County during the last few weeks, including the one this morning.
