Webcast: Convicted Murderer East to be Released from Prison Today

East is the man convicted of the 1981 murder of Mary Eula Sears. He served 30 years of a life prison term, and is set to be released today in Huntsville.
He was scheduled to be released last month in Abilene, but some local officials succeeded in convincing the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to change the order, keeping him away from Taylor and its surrounding counties.
