Representatives from Shiver-Megert and Associates will give a 3-D presentation on renovation plans, giving the public a different perspective on the project than simple blueprints.
"The purpose is to give a total presentation to the public," said interim Chief Executive Officer Bill Weldon.
Weldon said the board wanted to give the public a thorough visualization of the project and the meeting will be an opportunity for the public to provide input on the project.
"It will be interactive with our board -- we will be there to hear what the public has to say," Weldon said. Hospital officials are encouraging the public to attend the meeting, which will be held at Safety Plus.
"This is your tax dollars and what is happening in your community," Weldon added.
In November, Richard Constacio of Shiver-Megert gave an update of the plans to the hospital board, including Med 2 and the Brice building. Plans call for the Brice building to house physical therapy, with a weight room and therapy pool part of the renovation.
Med 2 will be where the administration offices and old boardroom were located. New elevators and an urgent care clinic also are in the plans. The urgent care facility will be located next to the emergency room.
The hospital campus already has changed shape, with the former education buildings being demolished to make way for more parking.
Additionally, the administrative offices have been moved to the fourth floor, which was the former location of Cogdell's assisted living. Those patients have been transferred to Good Life, a private assisted living facility southwest of the hospital.
The public meeting will be held from 5-10 p.m. Jan. 26.
