Going Green: Paperless Christmas

Toys under the tree always look more festive wrapped up in Christmas paper. But the tradition uses a lot of paper that is just thrown away when finished. Here are a few tips that can reduce paper waste and help you clean up the house.
Yesterday's news can be today's gift wrap. Use an old newspaper as wrapping paper. Wrap the present just like you would with regular wrap. And to keep the ink from running on your hands, iron the paper before using it. Try the comic section for added color.
Its the end of the year so your getting rid of this year's calendar anyway. Why not rip out the pages and pictures of the calendar to cover the present with?
And finally, fabric is the perfect green alternative to paper gift wrap. Buy a roll of festive fabric and ribbons. Cover your present with fabric and tie the top with ribbons. Whats also great about this method is it can be reused by the receiver.
