Glass Block

The IBP Block Glass system is comprised of two components. Authentic, premium quality glass blocks are inserted in a structural grade aluminum grid (framing) system. A competing product found in most markets is a one piece plastic system. Glass is better and more permanent than plastic. That statement is as true for glass block installations as it is for wine glasses.
The IBP Grid System is mortarless. The glass in the IBP system is covered in a plastic boot to secure it to the grid system, and then is kept in place with a silicone seal. The advantage of a mortarless system is that if a glass cube breaks in the IBP system, all you have to do is remove the silicone seal on that grid, and remove that one block.
The patented aluminum grid system also gives you a wide variety of color design choices. Depending on which design and glass you choose, a glass block system usually costs between $20 to $40 a square foot.
