CityLink Trolley Line to be Revived?

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: January 10, 2012
Abilenians could soon hear the sound of trolleys along CityLink's old trolley line.

Abilene City Council will vote Thursday on the purchase of two used trolleys to replace the outdated ones that have been out of service since last January.

They now sit in the parking lot at CityLink's headquarters.

The purchase would be for $110,000, with $80,000 of that to be covered by federal grant money.

The 2001 model replacement trolleys would come from a manufacturer in Las Vegas.
