Steamboat Mountain Boil Water Notice Lifted

By: Bigcountryhomepage.com Staff Reports
Updated: January 13, 2012
The Steamboat Mountain Water Supply Company has posted the following on their website regarding the boil water notice issued earlier this week:

On 01/11/2012, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required Steamboat Mountain W.S.C., 2210022 to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.

Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling.

If you have questions, please contact our office at 325/554-7454.
