Woman Killed In Fatal Train Accident

A young woman is dead tonight after being hit by a train in Tye.
Shortly after 6 p.m., police were called out to the intersection of South and Morgan street for a pedestrian whom was struck by a train.
Official say a 21-year-old woman was walking across the railroad tracks before she was hit. The woman died at the scene. FM 707 remained closed for hours as the train was stopped.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time pending notification of the family and further investigation.
