UPDATE: House Fire in South Abilene Extinguished

Update:
Fire crews quickly knocked down the fire but the home suffered smoke and water damage.

The Red Cross was called in to help the mother and son living in the home.

There is currently no word on their condition.

The Abilene Fire Department is battling a house fire in the 2500 block of Crescent Drive.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the roof of the home.

A resident of the home is reportedly being treated for possible smoke inhalation.
