Frigid Temperatures Pause Zoo Train Station Construction

The Dyess We Care Team began construction on the platform a few weeks ago, but frigid temperatures have temporarily put the work on hold.
In order to properly stain and paint the facility, workers are waiting for the temperature to reach and maintain about 50 degrees.
"It's just been too chilly to do that so we're hoping that over the next month that we get some warmer weather and we can get that accomplished," says Zoo Director Bill Gersonde.
Gersonde still expects the station to open in March of this year.
