Does It Work: 5 Hour Energy

This week I'm trying out 5 hour energy, to give me that added boost for Abilene Today and Abilene Midday.
The small yet potent shot is sugar free, low in calories, and claims 5 hours of energy with no significant "crash" hours later. And, according to some, if used in moderation, the nearly 40 milligrams of Vitamin B-6 makes 5 hour energy healthier, compared to other energy drinks.
I make it through the morning show, feeling pretty good. The real test comes later, as we head into Abilene Midday. Sure it's 11:30 in the morning for most, but for me, it's the end of the workday.
After Abilene Midday, I feel exhausted. 5 Hour Energy worked until about 9:30am, about 3 1/2 hours after I took the drink and then I started to crash. Sure it may work for a bit, but nothing compares to actually getting a full night's rest.
