SOTX is calling on everyone cool enough to plunge for proceeds at the annual Polar Plunge - a chilly and entertaining event where the brave raise pledges by jumping into freezing cold water.

Registration for the Polar Plunge begins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday; the first plunge is at 12:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott, located at 4350 Ridgemont Drive in Abilene. The cost to plunge is $50 for adults and $25 for children under 18. All plungers will get a T-shirt, beach towel, knit cap or one of the many other available incentives, based on their plunge level. Proceeds support more than 913 athletes in the Big Country area.
