The morning rain showers and thunderstorms soaked the city with about an inch of rain.

Storm water is flowing in the creeks today. The Abilene Fire Department reports that most of the eight fire stations around the city got at least an inch of rain from the early morning weather system.

The number one station in downtown Abilene reported that one-point-three-five inches of rain fell there overnight.

The smallest total was slightly less than an inch at Station Two at East-South 27th and Oldham Lane.

All of the other fire stations in town reported at least and inch of rain.
