Members of the Texas Rangers traveling winter caravan met with fans in Abilene Wednesday. It was a fun experience for all fans who showed up, but has extra special meaning for one Abilene woman who's about as big of a Rangers fan as they come.

Nelda Stewart is living with a life-threatening form of cancer, which kept her from being able to wait in line to meet the players today. So they held a special one-on-one session just for her.

"I'm a Rangers fan, and have been for many, many years," Nelda says, "I used to go to the Rangers games all the time... since I've gotten sick I haven't been able to."

Nelda says her bucket list is comprised of all things Texas Rangers.

She told Rangers radio broadcaster Steve Busby about asking her doctor to get her well enough to go to a game again.

"I've watched them all my life, and I very much appreciate everything," she says.

Nelda reassured Rangers pitchers Michael Kirkman and Cody Eppley she'll be back to see the Rangers play in Arlington again soon.
