Christopher Galindo asked a Taylor County jury to sentence him to probation earlier this morning while giving testimony in the punishment phase of his trial.

The jury found him guilty of three felony counts of causing serious injuries to a 2-year-old boy.

There is a wide range of punishment for such felony convictions, ranging from probation to 99-years in prison.

The child has been confined to a wheelchair since the incident in 2010.

The jury began deliberating the punishment phase testimony a few minutes before noon.
