Habitat for Humanity Breaks Ground on 2 New Homes

By: Gina Benitez
Updated: January 27, 2012
Habitat for Humanity is currently in the process of building three homes in Abilene, and they broke ground on two of them today.

The organization had already completed all necessary steps such as lot clearing, but today was the first official day of construction.

Families on Over Street and South 20th Street will be the proud owners of new homes thanks to the effort and dedication of volunteers in the community.

The organization hopes to have one house completed by the end of this year and the other by March 2013.
