APD: Man Tries to Kick Windows Out of Patrol Car

At 7:00 p.m. Officer Jake Weise was dispatched to a fight call in the 1700 block of North Mockingbird. The homeowner said that a male subject was trying to fight him. The male suspect was still at the scene and was yelling and cussing at the homeowner. Officer Weise placed this male suspect under arrest for disorderly conduct. The suspect became combative and refused to get in the car. Once inside the patrol car the suspect tried to kick out the windows. This male suspect was also charged with interference with public servant.

At 12:45 a.m. Officer Josh Ward was dispatched to a theft in progress at a north side business. A female suspect attempted to steal beer. Officer Ward contacted the suspect and she appeared intoxicated. She was placed under arrest for public intoxication. In a search incident to the arrest she was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. She was also charged with possession of marijuana.

And finally at 2:25 a.m. Officer Matt Allen was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 2100 block of North Seventh. A female victim reported that she had been assaulted by a male suspect. Officer Allen contacted the male suspect outside the residence. This male suspect had been previously warned of criminal trespass at this residence. He was placed under arrest for criminal trespass. A report for burglary of a motor vehicle and assault family violence in this incident is still under investigation.
