Abilene Police Arrest Suspected Copper Burglars

Abilene police arrested two men for burglary of a building early Tuesday morning.

According to APD, patrol units were dispatched to a burglar alarm at a vacant building in south Abilene at 3:39 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the building had been broken into and entered the building with the assistance of a K-9.

The officers found 43-year-old Rock Tanner and 35-year-old Damon Reinhardt hiding inside the building along with copper items apparently removed from the building that were ready for transport, according to police.

The pair were arrested for burglary of a building.
