Woman, 2 Infants Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Accident

A young woman, a passenger and the woman's two infant children were transported by ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center after her Honda collided with a Ford F-150 pickup Wednesday afternoon.

According to Brownwood Police, witnesses reported that the wreck occurred just after noon as the Honda was traveling northwest on Austin Avenue when its driver attempted to make a left turn onto US Highway 377S striking the pickup which was traveling southeast on Austin Avenue.

Both infants were secured in child safety seats and air bags on the impact side of the vehicle deployed. All four occupants of the Honda were transported to the hospital, the extent of their injuries unknown at the time of the accident.

The 18-year-old male driver of the pickup was uninjured. The vehicle suffered damage to the driver's side front end.

Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
