A Cleveland, Ohio mother dropped her toddler from a second story window Tuesday to save his life.

It happened just before the child's father allegedly set her on fire.

The toddler survived without a scratch thanks to another young mother who didn't hesitate when she heard the cry for help.

"She's just like, can you catch my baby? You got my baby?. I said yes I got him and she dropped him in my arms and I caught the baby, Naquetta Jackson said.

Seconds later, the victim jumped from the window, her clothes ablaze.

The suspect escaped through another second story window in the back of the home.

Eight hours later, Kevin Ford was captured just a few houses down from the scene.

Police say his clothes reeked of lighter fluid.

The neighborhood is breathing collective sigh of relief.

The child's mother was treated for burns and a broken arm and released from MetroHealth Medical Center.
