The entries are in and selected, as artwork from around the state has converged on the City of Brownwood.

As part of the 14th Annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit, visitors to the area show will see approximately 130 selected pieces of art.

They're still setting up the exhibit this week, but hope visitors will have a chance to see and educate themselves on art that wouldn't otherwise be available in Brownwood.

"This is the only opportunity for people to come here for art from across the state, that's been jurored for quality," says Art Exhibit Chair Ruth Wheelis. "We hope to educate the public and the school children that come through."

The event, which also includes classes and demonstrations is free to the public at the Brownwood Depot Civic and Cultural Center.

The art will be on display Feb. 5-17.

Show awards will be presented Saturday.
