Friday, February 3, 2012 is National Wear Red Day - a day when Americans nationwide will take women's health to heart by wearing red to show their support for women's heart disease awareness.

Each year the Brown County Heart Association Board designs an original t-shirt to raise funds for heart and stroke research. These t-shirts are available at Dazzling Divas, Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Citizens National Bank, or from any Board member. They are sold for $10.00-$13.00 with $5.00 of each shirt going to the cause.

The group will also host a Gala at the Brownwood Country Club on March 3, 2012. The evening will include dinner, music, a live auction, a silent auction, and a "Dancing with the Brownwood Super Stars" competition. The competition will showcase dancers from several Brown County school administrations.

Tickets and sponsorships are available from any Board member. Current board members are Meldina Mitchell, Edda Ratliff, Norma Oliver, Kay Ribble, and Debbie Hagood.
