Some local car dealerships have noticed an increase in the demand for used cars.
The owner of Tatum Motors says since it is income season and people are getting their returns, demand for used cars increases for the next few months.
As a result of the demand, prices also increase.
"It makes it harder to find good used cars and unfortunately if I have to give a little more money for them, I do because we have to have inventory," owner Larry Tatum says.
Tatum says used car prices will level out again around the end of tax season.
