Chances for April 3 Texas Primary Rapidly Diminishing

According to the Taylor County Republican Party, the chances of holding an April 3 primary in Texas are very slim.
In notes taken from a statewide teleconference between Republican county chairs, the Taylor County chair says according to the ruling by the federal court, all parties must agree on one redistricting map by next Friday in order for the primary to occur on April 3.
According to the notes, the later the primary election is held, the more difficult it will be to hold the State Republican Convention in June, because they would need to hold Senatorial Conventions, select delegates and submit the proper paperwork.
The Democrats have said they only need a few days after the primary to host their convention however, according to the notes.
