It's an email Tamara Wood never expected.

Tamara says, "It's hard to sink in. I don't think we fully, we don't fully believe it yet."

A $10,000 anonymous donation for her son Alex. She barely has the words to express how she feels but says what it felt like Monday morning when she got the message from 4 Paws For Ability, the organization making it possible.

"I don't know, i was just so shocked," says Tamara, "You know, I just started crying, I started thanking God and of course I called everybody I knew."

Just two weeks ago, the wood family raised 1,600 of their 13,000 dollar goal. Now, they expect to have the money raised by this weekend.

"We thought we had another year or two and now we're almost done. We have another 1,200 dollars left," adds Tamara.

Alex Wood is five years old and was diagnosed with a severe form of autism when he was just a toddler. The Wood's hope a dog will not only protect Alex from dangers he cannot detect but break the communication barrier holding Alex back and be a friend to the young boy.

"It's hard to put into words, you know, what we feel for this person that just anonymously, out of the goodness of their heart decided to help us get Alex's dog," says Tamara.
