BREAKING: Abilene Man Shot, Shooter Still Free

A man was shot Thursday night in the 800 block of Sammons Street in south Abilene.

Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Lloyd Shelton III.  Authorities say Shelton was taken to the hospital in good condition and is expected to be okay.

The shooter has not been arrested nor identified. Police are conducting a search. No details have been released at this time.
