Sweating for a Family in Need

By: Marlisa Goldsmith
Updated: February 19, 2012
Working out for a cause: It's what several people did Saturday morning in support of Austin Westbrook, the baby severely shaken by his sitter last year.

A three hour "zumba-thon" was held at Power Shack Gym.

When zumba instructor Shelly Elliot heard about baby Austin Westbrook being shaken, she knew she wanted to do something to help the family out. She decided to have a "zumba-thon" and invite the community to raise money.

Elliot said, "I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money and help them with all the medical expenses that they've had to go through and it's just to get Abilene involved."

All money raised will go directly to the Westbrook family to cover medical expenses.
