Emergency crews responded to a rollover accident in northeast Abilene around 10:00 this morning.

A silver SUV was driving east on Interstate 20 when it veered off the interstate and landed on its side in a creek on the southside of the highway between Highway 351 and West Lake Road near the Grove Apartments.

A spokesman from the Abilene Fire Department says high winds may have been a factor.

The female driver was taken to a hospital, but there is currently no word on her injuries.

It was not a silver SUV involved it was a little toyota echo and it was my co worker that was involved in the accident she is ok just bruised and scratched up pretty bad. She said the wind caught her car and caused her to lose control and she rolled twice before landing in the creek.
