Abilene Christian University is beginning a new fundraising project to build the school endowment fund.

They are asking supporters to contribute $50 million to help provide more scholarships.

ACU President Phil Schubert announced the project, and says the goal is to help students with the costs of attending the university.

They have raised about one-third of the amount so far to go along with an existing endowment fund of almost $300 million.
