Development Corp. of Snyder to Discuss Land Sale

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: February 20, 2012
The Development Corporation of Snyder (DCOS) will convene into executive session to discuss a potential real estate deal during Tuesday's 7 a.m. meeting.

The board will consider the sale of land in the original industrial park to an unnamed entity which is considering locating in Snyder.

DCOS Executive Director Bill Lavers would not reveal who the prospect is, noting that Snyder is still competing with other cities for the business.

Any action on the land sale will be made when directors reconvene into open session.

The board also will consider hiring a summer intern and consider sharing the $925 cost for two "Scurry Back" signs with the Board of County Development. Last week, the county board approved sharing the cost.

The minutes and financials also will be considered for approval. The DCOS meets in its offices at American State Bank.
