Scurry Co. to Reinstate Burn Ban on Friday

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: February 23, 2012
Burning will once again be forbidden in Scurry County.

County Judge Rod Waller on Wednesday said that he will allow the waiver for the burn ban to expire after today.

The county will once again be under a burn ban on Friday.

Waller cited high winds in the county this week as one reason to allow the ban to return.

Also, temperatures have been unseasonably warm this week, with humidity dropping under 15 percent.
