Airport Board Accepts New Restaurant Proposal

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: February 24, 2012
The vacant restaurant inside Abilene Regional Airport may not be vacant for long.

At this week's airport development meeting, Sweet Celebrations delivered a proposal to use the space.

Sweet Celebrations is a local bakery located on Pine Street inside the Windsor Hotel.

The proposal was accepted by the board and will now move to city council for a final vote.

The previous restaurant, Ann's Airport Cafe, was forced to close last week due to health issues.
