City Preserving Scene of Devastating Fire with Pictures

By: Victor Sotelo
Updated: February 24, 2012
Due to the historic significance of the fire that destroyed a long-standing Abilene building earlier this week, the City of Abilene is preserving the scene in pictures.

Both video and still photographs were taken this afternoon of the scene from a fire department ladder truck.

Fire department representatives say they do not want to call it a successful fire because a building was destroyed, but no one was hurt or killed and except for a few cracked windows, the buildings around the fire were protected.
