The Abilene Preservation League and Love & Care Ministries spent Saturday selling "Abilene" engraved bricks from the burned down rubble on Oak and South 1st street.
A number of the bricks aged anywhere from the early to mid 1900's.
The organization works to help preserve numerous buildings and landmarks across the city.
"There's lots of buildings like this that are around Abilene. We just hope that we can bring awareness to the historic homes and buildings that are so beautiful in Abilene," said Luke McMillan with the Abilene Preservation League.
Each brick from the building was only $2 and proceeds from the event are going to a number of Abilene Preservation League projects.
