Hardin-Simmons sophomore right-hander Troy Nicholson (Lubbock, TX / Monterey HS) tossed a complete-game shutout in a 5-0 road win against Mississippi College.
Nicholson scattered seven hits and struck out four batters without issuing a walk.
He also worked 2/3 of an inning without allowing a run in a win against Southwestern, a game in which he also hit two home runs and drove in six runs at the plate.
