APD: Woman Arrested on Drug Charges After Reports of Indecent Exposure

On Friday at 3:35 p.m., Officer Chris Lazirko was dispatched to a theft call at a school in the 2300 block of Greenbriar Drive. Two victims reported their purses had been stolen from their classrooms and that a stolen credit card had already been used. A report for credit card abuse and for burglary of a building was taken. This investigation continues.

On Saturday morning at 2:14, APD headquarters was notified by a concerned citizen of a potential drunk driver who was operating a vehicle with a flat tire. This information was relayed to officers. Officer Andrew Valdez noted the broadcast and was able to locate the vehicle. He observed the vehicle driving on a rim and he contacted the male driver in the 5400 block of North First Street. During this investigation, Officer Valdez detected that the vehicle had sustained some damage and that the driver appeared intoxicated. The driver was given a standard field sobriety test which he failed. The man was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

On Sunday at 12:40 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a random shooting call at a residence in the 5300 block of South Seventh Street. Several shots were heard by nearby residents and a responding officer. Investigation revealed that the residence was struck by bullets from an unknown suspect. Officer Mike McGrew filed a report for deadly conduct. There were no injuries and this investigation continues.

Sunday at 11:10 p.m., Officer Brian Poynor was dispatched to an indecent exposure call in a parking lot of a business in the 1600 block of Antilley Road. Officer Poynor contacted a female subject in a vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. During the investigation the female suspect surrendered a pipe with marijuana residue. During a search of the vehicle a small amount of marijuana was located and additional paraphernalia was located. The female was arrested for possession of marijuana.
