Snyder Crews Quickly Contain Fire

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: March 7, 2012
Snyder firefighters worked to put out a grass fire in Mitchell County about two miles south of the Scurry County line Monday afternoon.

The fire scorched roughly four acres.

Winds of up to 25 miles per hour and low humidity helped spread the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a tire blow out.
