Brown Co. 911 System Running Properly

Brownwood Police Chief Mike Corley reported Wednesday at approximately 1:00 p.m. that the emergency 911 system is back in operation.

"I am happy to report that the Brownwood 911 system is back in operation," Corley said. "We have conducted several tests and it appears to be working as it should."

Corley stated that a technician will remain at Brownwood Police Department for another couple of hours to monitor the system and to make sure there are no further problems.

Brownwood Police Department reported on Monday that Brown County's 911 telephone system not operational due to a computer malfunction which affected the entire county.
