An Amazing Story Of Healing & The Power Of Prayer

By: Julia Hurt and Alex Hayes

When Rafaela was hospitalized, doctors told her family to prepare for the worst.  But unbeknownst to them, a epic story of hope, healing, and love was about to unfold in the quiet places of Rafaela's mind.

"I was pregnant with our third child and my body had an auto-immune response to things that were going on in the pregnancy and it appeared that I had pneumonia and over the course of weeks I just go worse and I was not responding to any treatment. So I ended up in ICU in Abilene Regional.", explains Rafaela.

Her Father-In-Law, David Ray, says, "After she lost the baby she was home for a while and then she went back to ICU. The doctors began to brace us. Her lungs were completely filled, completely black on the x-ray, there really was no hope."

After overcoming this fight against her body she woke to have a greater story than just recovery. "I was visited by different types of angles."
