Guilty Pleas Land Snyder Men in Prison

Two Snyder men were sentenced to prison after entering guilty pleas in 132nd District Court this week.

Henry Carrisalez, 51, pleaded guilty to the Oct. 3, 2010 offense of felony driving while intoxicated and failure to appear, bail jumping, which occurred on Feb. 14, 2011.

Judge Ernie Armstrong sentenced Carrisalez to 25 years in a Texas Department Criminal Justice facility for the DWI plea. He also must pay $240 in restitution and $989 in court costs.

Armstrong sentenced Carrisalez to 10 years in a TDCJ facility for the bail jumping charge. He was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $804 in court costs. The sentences will be served concurrently.

David Melvin McCarter, 57, pleaded guilty to the Sept. 4 charge of DWI. Armstrong sentenced him to five years in a TDCJ facility and ordered him to pay $160 in restitution and $489 in court costs.
